is this an update? Because i am using the midibox_lc_v1_1_2.zip version. if it is an update, could you be kind and please post the changelog of it? dont wanna loose my settings  ;)

Does that mean that I could easily mount the display vertically (not horizontally, like in most synths) and still display text in text mode without any converter routine? Like having 30 lines with ~12 characters each on a 240x64 (64x240 ;) ) display?
yes - as the convpix.pl script has to rotate the fonts for the T6963C, this option will also be useable for your idea

it’s just a minor update. The second and fourth page on character LCD displays now shows horizontal metering bars instead of vertical - it looks much better.
The update is easy: just unpack the .zip archive, replace mios_tables.inc and lc_io_table.inc by your own files, and adapt the settings in main.asm (don’t replace main.asm by the file from the old release!)

now… which button do I press to get to the other screen pages on character LCD?? I can’t see it in the .asm tables

Hi Steven,
you have to press “MBLC_HOLD_LAYER” button in order to switch to the second layer. So long as this button is pressed, you can select the display page with one of the first four buttons (“MBLC_DISPLAY_PAGEx”). The appr. LEDs will indicate the selected page. When you release the layer button, the default button and LED functions of the first layer will be available again.
The button numbers, which are equivalent to the table position, can be found in the lc_io_tables.inc file. In this file you can also assign these MBLC specific functions to different buttons, and you are able to select your favourite button behaviour for every MBLC_* entry (toggle, hold or switch function)

I’m back on LC mode and have started getting the boards ready as so - will be waiting for the the next release to go in proper, which brings me to these q’s:
WRT to the additional LED meters forthcoming - will that be just like another 8 LED rings, so 16 in total (1xDOUT for both 8 rings) and also the LED digits for MTC display - i noticed the LC has 10 (12 includ the assignment ones) will this just be implemented on a dout module? The pdf describes using 8 of em, is the using the further ones possible? I notcied Axel has them on his LC station already tho ;p

Hi Dan,
yes, the meters will be realized like the LED rings. The number of LEDs for each meter can be defined by the user (also the patterns), up to 16 LEDs will be supported.
and yes: the MTC display will be similar like shown here http://www.ucapps.de/mbhp/mbhp_doutx4_mtc.pdf but with 12 digits instead of 8

ye, that all makes sense and I should know it already ;p it’s just i was stuffing the DOUT modules (i put 4 on a single board - saves cutting! ;p and chained them with additional tracks. So I wanted to make sure how many resitors etc to leave out on the last DOUT for the led rings/meter leds and MTC digits…guess i’ll need to add another dout for the MTC tho…
