Hey there everyone!
A few questions from a total newb to the business…
I’m looking to build a midi floorboard after acquiring a keytar the other day… I want to be able to control parameters remotely from the pc without having to go through the whole ‘clicking’ process to change things. However, this is where the first question arises:
Am I able to set each button to a feature besides a program change or is it limited to that? I’m wanting to assign parameters to things like stompboxes on/off in amplitube, or other features like this through chainer, which lets me control every single controllable through midi messages.
The second question arises from the main dilemma I have: I’m considering either buying a behringer fc1010 or making this footboard. The reason I’m considering the fc1010 is for the fact that it has two assignable foot pedals. I’ve heard of ‘alternate’ methods of control within this project aside from the normal pots and buttons… would I be able to, say, use a pair of cheap pc racing pedals or somesuch and alter the electronics to send midi messages along with the foot controller? Only thing is, I have no idea about programming to put the extra enhancements in…
Thanks for any help!
