midi channel

Hi ,

I have been trying to change my Sid’s midi channel via sysex using this command “F0 00 00 7E 4B 00 06 70 00 10 05 00 F7” ,for midi channel 6  the problem is it doesn’t  change ,the sid seems to be working ok in regards to receiving midi as it can play notes form the keyboard in mios studio and i can get patches onto the bankstick ,am i using the right sysex command? ,the program i am using is Midi-ox .

Thanks

MBSID V1 or V2?

Best Regards, Thorsten.

Hi,

Its a V2 ,it could be that i haven’t set up the Midi-Ox software correctly ,i will have another go at  it !

Thanks

I just have tested it - works fine.

Your MBSID should respond with:

  F0 00 00 7E 4B 00 0F 01 F7

after the SysEx string has been sent

Hi,

When i send the command it seems to go into a loop

SYSX: F0 00 00 7E 4B 00 0F 01 F7

00063A24  1  4    F0  Buffer:    9 Bytes  System Exclusive

this is what it says

Ok, so the MIDI channel has been changed correctly.

You should see the new channel at the main page?

Best Regards, Thorsten.

Hi,

I have searched the forum and the closest thing i could find to this was here http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php/topic,11173.0.html but it looks like he has a v1 Sid
