Is it possible to leave the select buttons and just use the menu button? Its a bit slower, but is it possible? Instead of push the selekt button for edit mode, just turn the data wheel and press the menu…

from what i understand, you want only ONE encoder and ONE button? Â if that is what you want, it won’t work. Â you’d need at least one select button also. Â the menu button ONLY serves to go to the previous (higher) tier of the menu.
EDIT: on second thought, you might be able to get your setup working if you altered the code a bit, adding an “exit” item to each level of the menu. however, if this is beyond your capabilities, you’re gonna need more than one button.

I thought the exit thing sould do the thing. Im trying to understand all the code now to do my own setup. But the one button thing I leave behind for a while. Thanx.

it’s impossible to edit the patch name with only one menu button. Who knows which other features will be added in future which rely on the select buttons — therefore I cannot suggest this design change
