MemPot

Hey guys, check out this memory potentiometer based on PIC16F81. It could be very useful for applications with sensors or resistive touch pads.

There are Eagle schematic, PCB and code available for download.

…I also just discovered it via matrixsynth and wanted to post this.-))

yes, very nice, especially because the pic file is short and easy to read, the circuit could be build with verowire in one hour I suppose..

useful!

Sorry to dig up an old topic. I’m building one of these and its great.

Was just wondering there is a midi equivalent/implementation that I could use were I to build a midibox.

I use midi motion sequencing a lot with an old korg groovebox but the midi transfer responsiveness is pretty rubbish.

Suggestions?

hmmm, those DS1267 looks very interesting

It must be possible to do some pwm with this and a ne555, then drive servomotors with mios…

So, no one tried yet ?

I’m going to buy one or two of those chips  ::slight_smile:

ouch, but they look pretty expensive  :-  (5,73 € on farnell)

argg you’re right

this is not going to be practical to apply to more than one or two pots.

maybe I should move this to design concepts. I’m a real n00b but finding a way to use this much loved feature would make me very happy. Tried hunting round an ea1 pcb but my chip spotting is hopeless…

doh if only I wasn’t so new to this.
