Hi,

I’ve just burned up MIDI interface at SB Live! (bridged +5 with ground not RX with TX… so idiotic!) and need to change connection way.

Becouse I’ve two spare COM ports at PC, and found LTC module at side I’m going to build it.

Can I use LTC with bootstrap loader to upload code? Will baudrate be ok? Can I use other MIDI equipment with LTC?

Yes, but you need to have the PIC burned with the correct ID to recognise the nonstandard interface. See the ID calculator on smash’s site (there’s probably another somewhere?)

Can I use other MIDI equipment with LTC?

Only if it has an RS232 input (9 pin serial like your COM ports)
