Does anybody have a link for a DIY MIDI through module construction page? Something like 1IN to 4 ore more OUTs.
Thanks and greets

aaaahhhh… found one:

Does one of you electronic cracks know about this cirquit gives me any latency. I mean: Is it refreshing the data (and needing processing time) or does it just amplifie the signal?
Sorry, this don’t work as el cheapo midi delay ![]()
It’s just standard midi receiver followed by buffer to drive outputs: latency = propagation delay is under 100uS, and it’s nothing compared to the slowness of midi itself.
Bye, Moebius
Thanks
That’s good! I don’t want a delay. I was afraid that I would get a delay… I want to feed more devices in parallel. - The lower the delay, the better.

Excellent, I was just looking for one of these the other day - going to make a basic MIDI merge + driver in one box.
Hi,
It actually means that one output can drive up to 20 inputs.
So you could expand the copy module to have 20 outputs (IC1B->IC1E) out from the single IC1A inverter. With more, you may enter into some problems…
Best regards,
Lall
Hey, I know this isn’t DIY, but I bought a Yamaha MJC8 Midi Patchbay on ebay for less than $20: here’s one now

This is one of the best tools I ever bought - you can reroute your midi cables a bunch of ways without ever unplugging them. It can send any of 8 inputs to any of the 8 outputs. It doesn’t merge midi though.

hi,
any idea if the pic18f452 can be used as a substitute for the pic16f877 in this project?
