Hello,
I was wondering if it could be possible to have a space on the WIKI to collaboratively host symbols (for gschem) and footprint (for pcb) files for common parts used in MidiBox projects.
I am currently designing symbols and footprints for
I will post them in that thread as a temporary solution.
I would find cool to provide that for MidiBox users who wish to make PCBs for their panel parts and also to support gEDA and PCB in that way.
Didier.
Back!
So nobody seems to be interested. However i post my work for now…
The attached zip contains:
switch-rotary-encoder-switch.sym : generic gEDA symbol for a rotary encoder with switch
bourns-pec11-4f-n : A bourns PEC11-4xxxF-Nxxxx encoder without switch pcb footprint
bourns-pec11-4f-s : A bourns PEC11-4xxxF-Sxxxx encoder with switch pcb footprint
The bourns PEC11 are the one that sell SmashTV.
I would be glad to start a Wiki page to list those parts and enable people to design their boards with gEDA and pcb.
Regards, Didier.

I agree this is a great idea.
I’m actually looking to do some of this myself for these 10k slide pots and those 2X20 BG Micro LCDs. Not a huge ordeal but its really convenient when your planning the orientation of the boards and you want to cram a lot into a small front panel.
Yé! I think i’ll start the wiki page… you’re welcome to make your contribution
Maybe i should also do a tutorial or maybe link to a tutorial to make footprints which is not so easy when you start with PCB! I used that one to get started:
