is there an essential list of lcd displays/lcd controllers to use with the midibox lc?
on the ucapps lc site - there is this “KS0108 lcd” display. but i couldn’t find
an lcd with the KS0108 controller in poland anywhere with 240x64 resolution!
maximum 192 or so.
so what are other solutions for this - which lcd can i finally use?
i don’t really like the (2x40 lcd)x2 solution because on nearly every midibox lc picture
i could find on ucapps a few centimeters of the lcd’s weren’t used and they destroyed
the overall design a bit.

HD61202 and T6963C can be used, as well as matrix orbital via IIC, or you can write a custom driver. Hope this helps.
uuu i’m really an electronic noob so i would probably fail massivly when writting my own drivers…
is the controller dependent on the size of the display? i realised that all 192x64 are KS0108A controlled and all 240x64 are T6963C controlled.

The maximum resolution will be limted to what the controller can handle, but I’m not sure of the resolution limitations for each chipset… It should be in the datasheets of course

i cannot find a KS0108A display with the size of 240x64 anywhere !
and thorsten said that the T6963C are too slow to handle complicated interfaces…
