Hi

As this is my first post, i wanted to thank everyone who contributed to this tremendous DIY Project! It’s really nice to see people with such a motivation. *Thumbs Up* :slight_smile:

Is it possible to connect a LCD Display with a RS232 Interface to Core32 in any way? I have some NewHaven 2x40 LCD’s lying around and didn’t get any info wether in here nor on the net.

Hi.

Yes it is certainly possible but it isn’t currently supported!

The easiest thing would be to use one of the USART’s (you would lose a MIDI port) but you would need to create a module to do the actual talking to the display. How is your C programming??

My C programming was very good… ten years ago. At the moment i’m learning it again with MIOS! So that would be an option on the long run, maybe sometimes :slight_smile:

Damn. I got a 20x4 with an R232. Will it work with a core 8 or MB6582?

I’m guessing no. I don’t know anything about this stuff
