  • Is it possible to connect a LCD using the NT3881 on MIOS??
    Is it possible that it will be possible soon??
  • I have an old 4x20 HD44780A00 based LCD but when I connect it to MIOS, the only thing that happens is that two of the four lines turn dark. If I change the contrast they get darker or turn off.. I 'm not sure the LCD is in working condition.
    Anybody knows what’s going on?

I went back to the store where I bought the NT3881 based LCD and asked the guy if he had any HD44780 based LCDs. He told me that some guys were looking for a HD44780  and tested one NT3881 based and it was OK , since they are pinout-compatible.

I don’t think I should trust this guy, he didn’t seem to know!

The command set of this display is the same, so it should be compatible.

To the 4x20 LCD issue: it seems that not all wires are connected correctly. Black lines are visible when the display has not been initialized.
