LCD Flashing Launching CS

Hi again

Total newb here but I’m nearly there

just installed sid 8580 .hex but I’m only getting a flashing lcd screen saying launching cs

I just can’t find anything about this on the site

I am a Noob myself so I can just give a general tip. I found 2 problems by closely looking at http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/lib/exe/fetch.php?hash=a55f1b&media=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mb6582.org%2FsammichSID%2FsammichSID_Base_PCB.pdf and measuring / continuity testing my board.

Fast flash or slow flash? Sounds like something is sucking too much current for the supply u are using

Thanks for your replys

After TK’s kind help in an earlier question regarding the midi connector I was using,

I uploaded MIOS with just the Core module connected,

I then connected two sids and 1 bankstick

And uploaded the midibox_sid_v2 hex file

and worked fine

It then rebooted and I got a screen flashing the Sid application name to Launching CS, sid app name to launching CS …on and on

The flash wasn’t too fast, but it wasn’t slow either

Like it was trying to load but something was preventing it?

It wasn’t switching on and off.

Has this happened to anyone before?
