anyone made experiences with the 8X8 LED-Matrix from kingbright?

I wonder if it’s usable for the 8X7 Matrix of the MidiboxSid (wiht one column left unused) - haven’t seen it integrated in any boxes so far.. perhaps it’s no wonder, cause it doesn’t really work for this :P.
