I´ve tried everithing but I can´t program it. I only can read 3FFF 3FFF…
any idea? ???
I also tried to build a parallel programmer and have similar results. I´m thinking the chip have a failure.
thanks
Nacho

Hi Nacho,
if verify fails with both programmers, possibly the10k pull-down resistor is not connected to pin RB3?
Best Regards, Thorsten.
I follow the same board from the page module. I´ve also tried to connect it to GND and same results. How can I check pic is working?
So long as the programmer reads only '1’s, the PIC won’t work — hm, no idea…
Best Regards, Thorsten.
What´s the configuration to configure pic16f877 for the MidiPlus with 16 pots and 2 button configuration? (osilator, fuses)
This information is embedded in the .hex file, so that the programmer should regognize it automatically. However, here a snapshot with the config settings which are valid for every PIC16F based MIDIbox project:
Best Regards, Thorsten.
thanks!! ;D
Another question, can I programm the PIC with a low voltage programmer???
bye!
No, this requires a special programmer and special software — and the LVP allocates pin RB3 so that it cannot be used by the firmware.
Best Regards, Thorsten.
Still not working :'(
I send you a list with some of the parts i´m using, maybe something is wrong
diode zener 9.1v (diode 8.7v)
2 transistor 2n3904 (bc547)
cap 100uf16v and 22u25v
Did you take the different pinning of the 2n3904 into account?
Best Regards, Thorsten.
That was the problem!!! :o :o
I´m going to test it now.
1º Do you know if this error can damage the pic???.
2º Can I use a 9.1 diode with out any problem??
thanksssss
It workssss ;D, I can´t believe it!! thanks
I only have a little problemm, when reading sometimes I get all ones, and in othe moment I read the code I write in the chip.
bye!
