Amazing! :o

How you find the time, TK I don’t know! But thanks for inspiring us with your awesome electronics, that is really a peice of art!

…Steve

Thanks guys!

Oh man, this thing keeps me so busy - once you are starting with a sequence, you will never find an end!

I’ve started with a tutorial sequence which should demonstrate how to convert this simple arpeggio:

http://www.midibox.org/midibox_seq/mbseq_tutorial1_1.mp3

to a much more complex texture by using the capabilities of the save/copy/shift function:

http://www.midibox.org/midibox_seq/mbseq_tutorial1_11.mp3

(4 patterns are played at the same time: 2 patterns for 3 SIDs, 1 Drum pattern, 1 Bass pattern)

Of course, such a sequence could also be realized with a common sequencer, but are you also able to play the same texture with some differents chords like demonstrated here?

http://www.midibox.org/midibox_seq/mbseq_tutorial1_12.mp3

It really keeps me busy…

Best Regards, Thorsten.

Damn T!! You dont hang about dooya!!

Inspiring…once again!

best

Dan

… :o ! …that does look the business  ;D

Awesome!!! That’s slick man… now you need to take a good break and do an album…at least a few singles eh?

Can this sequencer record notes played from a keyboard, or is it step entry only?

awesome work, as always an inspiration!

step entry only

Best Regards, Thorsten.

Ok, thanks!

Oh my oh my oh my oh my oh my oh my … …

:o

Looks f+++ing cewl! A real *wannalaymyhandonthere*!

Can´t wait for building my own (just ordered the encoders). Much respect from my side, TK!!!

TK ! STOP DOING SO NICE DESIGN !!!

You’ll empty my wallet !!!

;D ;D ;D

ucapps.de : the site which will make go away your wife !

Do you have some “internal” picture of the beast ?

Any expectation day for release  a teaser

Thanks Thanks Thanks!

More pictures are available here:

Btw.: picture #11 shows that this 19" case (available for 30 EUR @ Pollin) isn’t so perfect for my panel. However, such fixes are well hidden  and I didn’t found another way for the leftmost buttons

The case is almost empty, but it will be filled with the AOUT module and perhaps also an analogue synth (-> the so called “simplesizer”) in the future.

Best Regards, Thorsten.

Where did you get the knobs and buttons(the cap part)?

I have not had such great luck finding knobs without the line on them(No need for a line using encoders).

And is that panel 3U or 4U? thanks , and again, great work!

I just found the part numbers:

the encoder knobs are from http://www.albs.de

DK13-164, black-soft

DK13-164, gray-soft

Each knob costs 0.65 EUR

Datawheel also from http://www.albs.de

DK38-144

I got this as free sample

These knobs cannot be found in the (poor) webshop, I

contacted Albs directly via EMail. If you have luck, you

will get an immediate response. If not, it can take some

days or weeks

However, if more guys are interested, we could start

a collective order (Albs normaly delivers only to

big customers in quantities of 100 pieces and more)

The buttons are from http://www.reichelt.de

DT 6 <colour>

<colour>: BL, GN, GR, RT, SW

Each button costs 0.43 EUR

Best Regards, Thorsten.

or months…

well, I think a big order from albs can be a very good idea as they have cheap and very nice stuff!

Hey T,

I’m a little bit angry  >:( because of of this fantastic design !

Please give me a little more time to finish my Box LC so that I can start direct with the sequencer.

YOU ARE TO FAST !!!

I also wonder, where you get the time to build such wonderful machines.

Sure is: This Sequencer is my next project !

I think we’ll all have a serious problem… while spending so much time on your projects we couldn’t find any time to make music with all our “new” equipment  ;D

Do you feel the same ?

Another thing:

Some weeks ago I ordered my motorfaders at albs. I had a long telephone call (about an hour) with the manager. He’s a really nice one. He knows exactly for what I was ordering the faders …

It would be possible to get better prices for faders and knobs, if we make complete orders within our community. Because of the quantity we’ll get then better prices. But someone must manage this “shop”.

So my idea is, just to ask the community if they are interested. We could make collection orders and then get better prices. Albs is working on a web shop but they are not really interested in people ordering two knobs. I can understand this.

So if people have a little time, we could collect orders.

What are you thinking about this ?

Doc

Thanks Thorsten. A collective order would be cool. I don’t know much German anyway, so it could be a big help.
