yes, profile tab, Forum Profile Information, I have my own pic: “Specify your own avatar by URL. (ex: http://www.mypage.com/mypic.gif)”
no browse feature like other forums, do I have to host it somewhere like photo bucket?

This is correct. One upon a time there was this dipshit who uploaded an avatar with a very special name to code inject stuff to the forum.
So unless you are in a diffrent group then normal user you cannot upload pictures.

that was because i could not log in on ultra’s bulk order Wiki for ultracore with my old name (schmöker), but you changed it for me, so everything’s fine now.
but good to know about the avatar picture, i always thought i’m just too stupid to do it…
