Harrgggg... How do i convert the mios.hex To mios.syx without Perl's script?

i download the mios and bootstrap but

i can’t find in the folders the perl script that convert it!!

can i take a hex2syx.pl anywhere else ???

in fact i already try to convert the last mios puting the script hex2syx.pl

in the folder etcetc… but it doesnt work , impossible to convert

it say that the main. file need to be tcheked

is someone can send me the already converted , it would be amazing

if you want to convert a MIOS .hex-file, you need to give the pearl script some extra startup informations (start parameters), so it knows it can write to some special protected areas. This is a security function, because it is inteded for applications.

It’s recommended to upload MIOS with MIOS Studio that can send .hex files, so you do not need to convert it.

However, if you need to convert it to .syx see the comments in the perl script.

it s well hiden

“perl hex2syx.pl mios_v1_x.hex -os_upload -device_id 0x01”

maby it would be nice to put this in the help procedure

because it been 5 day that i m on this probleme :pp

now i ve upload the mios well

byte was all well receive : ) : °

but now it wont receive the apps.  i want to send midio128 inside

but it dont work :cry:

can you give some more information?

“don’t work” is a term I hear often, but not really useful to provide help…

do you have an LCD? what does it say?

what program are you using to upload the files?

ok, sorry !

i m building a midi triger interface for a 808clone.

i ve simpify the more i can the core modul , so i ve remove lcd connector and all

route that was not needed, in fact i ve just keep the midi, and the dout.

i ve upload midio128 without problem now, the problem was that the upload have to be done under 2 sec.

now it s ok ,  but like all the time , i ve got a another probleme!!!

the crystal dont seem to oscillate anymore!!!

i supose that one of the 2 pin must be HIGH (5v)  and the other Get the 10MHZ

But no one is HIGH, is it normal ??? maby is it i dont know

i tcheked all pin of the pic with oscillo, no one is moving, ((( Its not a hardware problem , because

with a another pic already programed for sid , the crystal oscillate and all pin Are dancing)))

so … ??? i dont know ? if it s normal
