hackthor's Eurobox SID

Album by Michael D.
Gallery category: members-gallery

Just taken “do it yourself” literarly  Stuffed a minimal MIDIbox Sid into a “Eurobox”. Not 100% perfect (drilled free-hand), but not bad for the first try.

Includes

  • MIDIbox Core V3
  • MIDIbox SID V2
  • 2x24 LCD (no backlight to safe power from 7805)
  • 9 buttons, 1 rotary encoder
  • MIDI IN and OUT
  • audio out
  • bank stick connector

final box

This is the final box, powered on and playing a sound from the bank stick.

Yes, it still works after putting it into the box

control surface assembled

Yep, fits.

final assembly

All things are on its place, just needed to connect the control plate to the core and close the box.

new life

Thanks

The box is available in different colors, I got mine from Reichelt (“EUROBOX BL”) and a spare one from Conrad (523117) - just for the case I break anything during the whole drilling and cutting. Other shops may have it too, there seem to be nothing special with it.

ciao

Re: new life

The case looks just like the one i bought from Reichelt for my Arduino Stuff :sorcerer:
