Getting ready to fire up my SID for the first time, some quick questions..

Greetings all.

Finally getting to the point of powering up my SID project and I have a couple (hopefully simple) questions that I could not find answers for at Ucapps:

I am using Tims previous rev SID and core boards based on the 6581 and the simple 1 sid PSU (mbhp_sid_c64_psu.pdf)

1> Are the connections for the above shematic OK for use with Tim’s boards? I am assuming that all the pinouts are the same and anything not shown is left not connected

2> Where is pin one on J15? Its not marked so I am assuming it would be in the corner based on the orientation of the text

3> Any other tips would be greatly appreciated

Bottom line: Don’t assume. Assumption is the mother of all f*ckups, a wise man once told me. Check Smash’s site, he has dozens of close-up pictures revealing the pinouts of the boards. You should know where to find his site since you ordered from him in the first place.

Take is Steven Seagal’s adopted Japanese name, when he is referred to as Sensei, people generally call him by that name, so “Take Sensei” :slight_smile:

Outside the dojo I reckon people probably just call him “Big Steve” or “Tiny” or something heheheh
