Just a general question. Which caps are best to use for MBSID projects (SMD caps not ofcourse)
The lower the tolerance the better?

i have some good caps for the SID filters but i was not talking only about the filters. But thanks for youre answer it’s a very interesting topic that one.
For the non-filter parts, just about anything recently modern should do fine, they won’t change the audio quality and even a high tolerance would be no problem…
For some areas (power section) you will need electrolytics caps, as they are the only affordable ones with a high capacitance.
Then you will need a lot of 100nF ceramics, these are small power filters in front of most ICs…
