Just seen Mackies new DXB (http://www.mackie.com/products/dxb/index.html) and it got me thinking - could a similar system be implemented with MIOS acting as the interface between the h/w and s/w with the aid of the forthcoming AOUT module and perhaps using a custom nix o/s on the s/w side…
It seems theres enough knowledge around to get summin like this made, admittedly it’d be one vast and long project…but hey, what a project! and with good project planning and delegation of specifics areas of the design I think it could be a go’er. Imagine, an opensource fully automated modular mixer…
