I’m having to make changes to the MIDIbox LC firmware to meet the project objectives. Here are 8 channel names displayed on a single 2x40 display. The channel names won’t match up 100% with the Tascam’s tracks, but it is pretty close and allows us to use 1 LCD per 8 channels (instead of the 2 that Dieter used in the earlier implementation I used as a reference).

Since someone asked, this is an Optrex display from the 2009 bulk order I ran (now closed).

Also, this project is a simplification and update of a prior MIDIbox project of Dietmar Spitzer (http://www.tsrecords.at/pult_main.htm). This version will only have the track names and not the meters or time LCDs.
