I bought a Midisport 1x1 USB midi interface on Ebay about a week ago and now realize that it doesn’t play well with Linux So, I’m offering it to someone here who uses Windows. $25 obo to the continental US. See this unit at http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/MIDISPORT1x1-main.html
I think I PB’d you, but I’m not sure if it worked ![]()
So please let me know if you haven’t got the message, I’d hate to spam your box with double requests and stuff.
Cheers, A lex.
Are you sure it doesn’t work with linux? I have one and it appears to work fine - you have to use (iirc) fxload to load the firmware driver in your usb hotplug scripts.
but to be honest I don’t think I ever actually plugged in an external peice of gear to see if notes were being sent or not, so I could be sitting on an unusable device as well ![]()
It’s the firmware-loading that bugs me. On top of getting things working correctly with a new notebook (Thinkpad T42, see http://www.thinkwiki.com), I’d rather not have the extra hassle of firmware that needs to be loaded.
I have a Midisport 2x2. It works well under Linux with the drivers from http://usb-midi-fw.sourceforge.net/. They use the firmware from the Windows drivers, but it was able to run the installer under Wine so i didn’t have to find a Windows box.
I’d just like to let everyone know that this interface is still available.
The midi interface is now sold.
