Hello
My pushbutton-switches measure 18,4x18,4mm. How much bigger has the square-hole in the Frontpanel to be, so the buttons don’t get stuck? In other words: How big has the spacing between frontpanel and button to be?
Thanks for advices and tipps
Roger

That´s more or less a opinion of yourself.
I always use something like 0,5 mm up to 1 mm (depends). Roughly you can say something like 5% up to 10%.
Are your buttons frontplate mounted or on the PCB?
Greetz!

… they’ll be PCB mounted.

OK. That´s good, as you bring in a little more precision by using PCB mounted stuff automatically.
So I would try 19x19 mm. That´s 0,3 mm on each side, should be ok. If you´re not sure, just go up to 0,5mm on each side (would be 19,4x19,4 then).

Thank you for the information. I think I’ll go with 19mm.
