from .fpd to jpeg?

Hi

I am going to build a temporary case for my SID, based on TKs “original” casing.

But instead of having a frontpanel made by schaefer, i just want to print it on a transparent sticker and put it on a plexiglas (is that the word in english).

How can i go from the .fpd file available at the SID step C page, to a high quality .jpg, .tiff, .png or something?

Thanks

Carsten

What keeps you from printing the panel directly out of FPD to your sticker ?

I guess you like to print in a copy shop.

You could install a “print to jpg” printer driver. As far as I remember, there is a print to tiff driver shipped with ms-office. That would do the job. I don´t have a particular one in mind right now, but you should find several easily via google.

A hires screenshot could be an option, too.

Plexiglas is a common term for acrylic, or just “acryl”. But Plexiglas is often mixed up with transparent “polystyrol”, what is useless for our purpose.

I hope you will get the sticker bubble free to your panel. Its not that easy ;).

Of cause. Sometimes you overlook the obvious.

Here is what i did in XP:

  1. download both frontpage design program and .fpd file.

  2. Download “PaperlessPrinter”

  1. open file and print it. In print properties, choose PaperlessPrinter.

  2. Choose A3 and Landscape

Thank you aileroned
