first din module, what should i see when buttons are clicked?

hi,

i’m trying to test out the buttons i wired up for the first din module.  this is the F1-F4, menu, select, and exit buttons.

when starting from first loading it, this is what i see when i click each button:

F1:

save pattern

a1->a1 (all)

F2:

record track: 1

step: 1

F3:

muted tracks:

oooooooooooooooo

F4:

muted tracks:

nothing

are these the right screens?

hiya,

I would recommend uploading the MIDI128 app to test DINS, its on the mios download page.

Once you have it uploaded the screen shows you which shift register and which pin is being read.

This process saved me hours of soldering debugging :slight_smile:

unfortunately this didn’t do it.  i loaded the closest thing to what you said (MIDIIO128) and that gives me note names when i press buttons.  i also tried srio_interconnection_test_v1 and nothing happened when i hit buttons.

hi,

for the “F(x)” buttons, it’s okay you see the good screen.

The menu button act toguether with GP buton, so it’s normal nothing happen if you only press it…

for the select buton I think it’s normal too if your are not in a particular menu.

exit ok too

thank you moxi.  i would hate to build up the rest of them without knowing if i was doing it right.
