Few quad sid questions

Testing/Troubleshooting

If i have completed my quad sid how can i or must i :

A: update the mios or sid software? Do they go all at once? Or must i flash them seperatly (stuff unstuff).

B: change midi chanel for each sid (or do i have only 1 midichannel?) trough control surface.

Once this has been done, you can change the MIDIchannel of each SID (seperately of course…) in the CFG menu

Preparation of PIC18F cores

Step by step:

I read this over and over and over :smiley:

Do i stuff all cores at once. Power the unit.

Use the link cable of JDM to prepare the master and finish it all. After testing sid 1 i connect this cable to slaves 1 by 1? And repeat the procedure (according to the steps in the step by step guide)

Sorry if i sound confusing

p.s. the cores j10 only have 4 wires connected right?

are these questions or conclusions? :wink: Of course, if you haven’t programmed the bootloader into the slaves, it’s time to do it now. And please don’t forget to set the ID of the slaves to 1, 2 and 3!

J10 has 4 connections if the ground is already connected from the power supply unit to the SID module — compare the wiring with http://www.ucapps.de/mbhp/mbhp_4xsid_c64_psu_optimized.pdf
