yeah how sweet is that?

but since i am planning to embedd a system behind a 17 inches LCD i can t see the use for such a small mobo but, who knows?

it all still looks too freash and young to be stable enough

yeah, actually a mini or nano is cheaper. if there is enough space, this would

be the better choice.

pico itx: ca. 220 euro (CPU onboard)

micro itx (17x17cm): ca 130-200 euro  (CPU onboard)

DC-DC adapter (input 12VDC): ca. 50 euro

aah RISER ! nice, bit expensive though but i think this is not stuff that you can dity etch at home, due to the high speed data transfers.

Look at the NGW100 from Atmel while you’re at it.

Costs around $89, I’m really contented with what it has to offer :slight_smile:

Something else worth considering is an asus eeebox… They’re numerous, so they’re cheap, and there’s lots of support. About the size of a hardback at 223x178x26mm…no PCI slots but plenty of USB, and WLAN built in, etc… at 350USD it’s more than the parts for a real embedded system, but you might save a lot of hassle…

They’re pretty hackable too, do a search and you’ll see. They also run SUSE quite nicely.

Another option would be to install Linux on to an old wireless router and use that… I’m sure this is possible but haven’t down the research so am unsure on specs or what could be done with it.

All nice proposal but show me something with OpenGL on the video card and minimum 1Ghz CPU and i am game.
