it seems not too difficult to build one…

John at PAIA has one also, and as usual all the schematics are available for ‘fair use’ …check out thier ribbon controller

This sounds nice, but how would one interface it to a Midibox SID or FM? I’m thinking of building one for my Paia Fatman.
I would think that you could interface it to one of the AIN pins.. and do some code.
it won’t work with the fatman or any of the older style wave form generators…(well.. i guess it would, but if you look at the website they say the response is all at the lower end… so it’s hard to control with V/Hz response type VCO’s.)
However… that having been said..
it could be used with V/Hz response type VCA’s and VCF’s… because our audio response to amplitude is exponential.
but… if you are trying to control 1V/Oct gear, I think it’s a cheap alternative…kinda… i am thinking about purchasing the kit from paia for
just the manual.. and the strip.
I do think it would be an easy interface to the MidiBox… for now, I will just make noise with it ;D
