I’ve found an old Sharp EL Display ( LJ640U21), with a matrix of 640 x 200.
A few questions came to me.
Which display resolution the pair PIC 18F and MIOS can support ?
What are, with these, the limits of display driving in terms of timing, characteristics, etc …
I 've received from Sharp Microelectronics the datasheet of this display with some specs and timing diagram and I would know what kind of informations I must have to drive this.

All I can do is to point you to see MBHP_LCD and MIOS download page at http://www.ucapps.de - there are custom LCD drivers at the download section - I hope these provide you some good material for starting your project

only displays with vertical pixel orientation can be controlled in realtime, displays with horizontal pixel orientation consume so much time, that they normaly would have to be driven by a seperate microcontroller
Do you have programming skills to write a driver and to enhance an application so that it displays additional informations? If not, then don’t buy this
