DESKTOP vs. RACK casings

As far as i’ve seen in the midibox gallery, there aren’t that much designs that are build in a 19" rack casing.

Why is that?

Is the 19" casing too expensive or does everybody just want desktop models (that in my opinion just take up to much space)?

If some people have worked with rack casings, do they have any tips for stuff i shouldn’t forget?

Just make it the easy way:

Build a Rack-and-Desktop Version like I did. If I want to be in the rack, its there. If I want it directly in front of me, its there.

I regret that I dont have any photos up to now, but its easy to build. Just a desktop version with rack angles to the side.
