Confusion: PENDULUM versus PING-PONG

I just fail to figure out the difference between the direction parameters

PENDULUM and PING-PONG ??

Perhaps somebody could explain it to my dumb self.

If your track has step 1234

Ping Pong does: 1234321234321

Pendulum does: 1234432112344321 - it repeats the end/start step

I don’t have my Seq with me (I’m at work) but from memory,

doesn’t one stay for one more step on the outer steps, ie

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,16,15,14,13,12,11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,1,2…

and the other

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,15,14,13,12,11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,2,3,4…
