I came across an ebay seller, selling a 2x40 LCD, and when i asked for a datasheet he linked me to this site which is even cheaper:
http://maverickelectronic.com/lcds.html
The 2x40 LCD is only £4 + £1.99 p+p worldwide (it does not change no matter what country i select)
Heres the specsheet for the all the models:
http://www.esnips.com/nsdoc/c88ddf19-9f17-4ef9-bf1a-22dd83cfe251
The specs for the 2x40 module is on page 12.
From the diagram it appears the controller is “KS0076B or equivalent”.
Will this LCD work witht he Midibox SID ???
In the Compatible list in the wiki i see a Samsung KS0076 is compatible.
Is there a difference between KS0076 B and KS0076

Have you seen the current LCD group buy? Prices are pretty similar, but these ones are blessed by a MIDIboxer.

Email sent.
Might we worth posting it on the other recent LCD threads.
Hi,
I’ve got exactly the same LCD from eBay for my SEQ. I’m very satisfied, but please note it requires negative voltage.
Greetings, RAZ

As someone who’s new to the site, your perspective on documentation and such is invaluable… This is a good example, too - I would have seen the ‘B’ and gone ahead without thinking twice, only because I’ve seen such things before… Only a newbie could find such an oversight…so don’t be afraid to make changes or suggestions or whatever
