would this encoder be ok for my MIOS jogwheel?
I thought it would be cheaper and easier than recycling one out of an old mouse ![]()

$35???
how much do mice cost there?
Just wanted to mention I have seen these units and they are built like tanks. They were designed for use in heavy machinery such as timber milling, mining equipment etc. The unit is quite large and fairly heavy.
Seriously consider what you are getting here as you would need to strip the guts out of it for it to be of any use to you. Even then, you would need to construct shaft bearing supports etc as they are machined into this encoders casing. I think it would be far easier to use a mouse guts myself.
Just my 2 cents worth.
