Casiotone sampling

.

Heh, be careful … you can have a very great influence over these young ones… I became fascinated with electonic musical instruments in grade 2, when someone visited our class with a sampling keyboard, and played some tunes with samples of our recorded voices saying “hello”… 25 odd years later, here I am…

So, before allowing your kids to do this, ask yourself:

Do you want your daughter to spend as much time in the lab as stryd_one?

Do you remember that episode of the Cosby Show when stevie wonder made a guest appearance?

They all went to the studio and he made a track with samples of them with a big old emulator.

That had a big effect on me.. oh.. and Jeff waynes war of the worlds.

Jamming with my dad when I was barely able to hold the blue harp did it for me, so I think cimo’s on the right track

I think sound and music are great hobbies. My oldest brother used to bring lots of old synths home from his band. I currently have his Korg Poly6 and Realistic MiniMoog. I used to sit down for days on end, just messing with sounds. Hmm, I probably spent more time playing with music then than I do now. Oh well. Work to be done…
