Bootstrap Question.

Hello All,

I built 2 cores for my MB64 and did all the testing making sure i’m getting 5v where i am supposed to, everything is ok  :wink:

I built a IDC ribbon cable for my backlit Char LCD and connected to the core with the bootstrap.

I received 2 pics  from smash, one with the bootstrap loader. One blank. both have different ID’s  ex. 0000000000000000…and…0000000000000001

Now, when i power up the core with the bootstrap loader should i see any message on my display.  like ‘‘waiting’’  or ‘‘ready’’

I just powered up and my LCD backlight is on and there is  no message on the LCD.

I know i still have to upload mios and the MB64 app.  but  I just wondered if a blank screen is normal.

if your core is sending the “heartbeat” sysex then you’re okay. load the appropriate application.
