does anyone know, where to get this big jog wheel like on Pioneer CDJ 500 and other top loader cd players ?

It’s probably just a rotary encoder with a big disk instead of a little knob… a plastic disc and some glue on a normal encoder knob would be a good start if you can’t find the real thing…
I’m going to get my brother to make me one on the lathe at his work.

btw: There are some big jog wheels available at www.schuricht.de
They´re kinda weird, but on the other side they look cool somehow. And you can put whatever knob in there you want to. They should sell similar to these ones elsewhere, too.

Just follow the following things:

There you are. Theyre grey and weird… since all is in german, I dont know where to get them outside germany.
Try to find some old hard drives, the plates inside
are looking very good for jog wheels.
Get some cd’s that failed burning, and glue them together, you can use a file to round the top if you want to.
There are jog wheel at www.albs.de, I’m going to order from them, but there is a minimal order of 50euros… so if any one wants a jogwheel, or other items from them, tell me!

If you need to bump up the order, i wudnt mind a few of these tact pushbutton caps: part #: TAC12X12-41. Not sure how much they are tho…i emailed them a few days ago…

I think I saw that on alps website (try searching for tact switch and there’s a pdf about tact switch knob), show that the TAK12x12-41 has to be used with the tak10x10-45
