Behringer or Mackie C4 encoders

I was wondering if anyone has tried to use the Mackie C4 or  behringer rotary encoders with LED Ring. It seems like it wouldn’t be hard to incorporate but I having trouble getting info on the parts.

yup those are pretty impossible to get for nice price you have to diy.

Did anybody here own a BCR2000? I would like to see those encoders with the rotary led ring.

Is this a separate component or just the 15, I think,  LEDs on the board?

A photo would be nice.

Hi,

I don’t have photos but I know a guy who did an internship at Beringer and he brought some defective Behringer junk home for parts. The encoders are normal encoders, surrounded by a circle of LEDs on long legs which are held by a round plastic piece. So there’s no way to reuse the LED circle :confused: But if you come over a cheap malfunctioning Behringer digital mixer: I got a few motorfaders from that unit and they’re very nice. Alps 100mm faders with an attached (non-Alps) motor and belt part.

I have the motorfader assembly moogah used to sell around here, those are proper ledrings!!

I mean.. Its also behringer, but the big mixer with internal effects and stuff. So it has “the” ledrings and bargraph leds. Ill make pictures today. I had the site , its a .co.uk company…  So I filled sample request with fancy descriptions of AD transient digitiser and stuff but no response hehe.

I thought about doing a double layer with acrylics and foil but your idea with just

backpainting the acryl is simple and great!

I wonder if the sprayed surface keeps fixed, can you recommend a spray?

With a laser, I think, you can also create buttons with coloured small sized text.

Do you have some assembled rings ready to show some photos? Those rings are

multiplex controlled, aren’t they? So something like a BCR2000 needs a hell of

74HC595 chips…
