It seems to me that karma – as good as it is to push someone for contributing more to the community – it might also cause the opposite.
Well look I wasn’t going to get into this, but hey… being a buddhist, the karma links on the side seemed a bit dodgy to me at first… I guess a bit sacrilegious, but that word makes me sound waay more serious than I am
But I figured, hey, it’s just another way of giving the thumbs up or down, I don’t mind +ing someone when they’re helping out, and I don’t mind -'ing someone if they’re being rude to TK or something similarly deserving of the smite…
And I’m not perfect, I do accept that sometimes I can be abrasive and that might earn me a smite, fair enough.. But the thing that bugs me is that I never do anything other than try to help people out around here. I feel like it’s the least I can do. TK helps me, I help someone else, they help someone else, and so on, and we all live happily ever after
So yeh I realised that it only bugs me so much, that whoever is smiting me doesn’t care to show any reason for it, because I try to help out…and so I could not help out, and then I wouldn’t care…
But then I got to thinking about how TK would feel when he sees his work for sale on eBay and I just thought, “stryd, stop your bitching and moaning” ;D
So to my gutless smiter I shall say this:
[shadow=red,left][glow=brown,5,5]FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAART.[/glow][/shadow]
And get back to the smell of hot solder fumes.
