Construction pics of my SEQ V4
SEQ V3 I started years ago…
So life happened and this sat on a shelf partially finished for a few years, then Moved across the country with me. Cross country move left me with few outside commitments aside from my job and wife, so now I have time again to work on MIDIBOX! This was the project as a SEQ V3, time for an upgrade to SEQ V4. New core was ordered and constructed.
Case from old Altec Mixer
I liked this case beacause it had plenty of room for a 4x16 BLM. now there is the TPD so I can still fit that and there will be plenty of room for my big jog wheel. and maybe still room for an integrated synth!
Encoder wiring
Bourns 12mm encoders w/switch. I just wired to the PC pins and heatshrinked over them. don’t forget to put the shrink tube on before soldering!

it lives…Again
encoders wired up to DIN’s and working. This is about the point I left off on V3, but now its V4 and all the encoders are wired up. had to make new ribbons for the displays too since new core is different.
