Another SammichSID Completed

Hi Guys,

I have now completed my first DIY synthesizer project, the sammichSID. I read the build guide four times and soldered once  with the result that the sammichSID worked straight away. I placed two 8550R5 SID’s into the sammichSID which sound excellent. I would like to thank Jason, Thorsten, Nils and all the others who made this project possible. Especially Wilba’s build guide was excellent, made it so easy…

For me it was a kind of “warm up” project, as I have to build the MB6582 within the next couple of weeks. I had some problems with the soldering and the paint job, that I will hopefully improve the next time with the sammichFM. Please find attached some pictures which should give you a better impression.

Good Job! :sorcerer:

How do you perfectly remove the front cover paper without removing the paint on the engrave? Did you use Kerosene or any other chiemical liquid?

G.

I did just use a knife in order to lift the paper. I didn’t use any liquids during this process …
