whats the haps. i’m just getting into the world of making midi controllers. i figured an fairly easy first project to work on would be to build a monome clone. being they are pretty basic and straight forward. i’ve already looked up and read all the older posts concerning monome clones and found them somewhat helpful. i plan on buying parts from smashtv’s site. my main question, if any of you guys could help me is, what parts would i need exactly to clone a monome. a core module, a couple ain and din modules. i’m a complete and utter noob. help. thanks.

think of this site like a crash course in electronics, with a custom midibox as the graduation certificate.
you need to be able to answer the question yourself if you have any hope of completeing the project!
grab a pen and paper and start drawing some diagrams, the rest will come from this site
once you have some specific questions that you just can;t figure out using the site and the search on the forums we’ll be here to help
