Accessing tracks: Button matrix vs. simple LED representation

Hi there!

Having planned my MBSEQ for quite a while, I find it hard to imagine, which hardware-design provides the “best” ergonomic use of the UI, that TK has developed. Creating new patterns quickly in an effective way would be my destination, since I want to use the SEQ especially for live-playing..

I´d like to hear some statements from SEQ-users about their experiences concerning the most ergonomic access to control the track-events in MBSEQ_V3.

As far as I understand, solutions like Dauwige´s (http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php?topic=8268.0)

control the tracks the same way like the matrix does in MBSID-CS, whilst TK´s breakout-box reveals direct access to every step per track at the same time.

Would you say this realtime-step-access is just “nice to have” or even “crucial” for a smooth workflow, using it integrated in the existing environment (Tracks, Layers, Groups, ect.)?

As I disassembled my, almost finished, V2 because of V3, I am also very interested in some ergonomics improvement.  :wink:
