8 or 16 motorfaders in lc

Hey there,

I’m thinking of building a midibox, but I’m in doubt about how many motorfaders I want.

16 faders would be nice, but it will cost pretty much twice as much money and time.

So is it worth it? Or should I just use 8 faders and switch banks?

i think since we each make our individual boxes for individual reasons, you might have to decide that for yourself.

do you need access to all 16 faders at once?  personally, i wouldn’t mind setting up banks to save money and space.

It’ll probably be a little more than twice as much time/money :frowning:

ultra is bang-on though… whether it’s really needed depends on your specific usage…

I use a Mackie Control with Logic Pro to produce techno/house.

I wish I had more channels than 8.  24 would be ideal.  I also wish I had enough desk space for it.

Not really sure yet what to do :(.

Maybe I’ll just start with 8, and expand it lateron if I feel the need.
