just started building a mbfm. I want to put it into the same pactec-case as the mb6582 with a frontpanel from Schäffer.
Now I want to know if it`s possible to run the fm with a 4x20 display instead of a 2x40. Any drivers required? Or change something in the asm?

No change to firmware required, but as mentioned in the thread, it’s not perfect.
Just look at the manual, you’ll see how the main screen will get split in the middle of the patch name.

With a little bit of coding, you could make it look better.
